Not only can we serve food that will blow the socks off of any potential clients with how fresh and tasty it is, but our fabulous waiting staff will make your venue look remarkable and ensure that everything runs smoothly, allowing you to be engaged with your guests! Just ask Gary. He’s a CEO of a chain of auto-shops and he wanted to hold a lavish party and awards ceremony to celebrate another year of hard work at the company.
Gary came and spoke with us about his requirements prior to the event and we made sure to prepare for every little detail. The number of guests was over 500 people, so we needed to bring our Platinum Hog Roasting machine which can cook two whole pigs at once. When the day arrived, we were on site hours before guests were due, in order to fully prepare the room with cutlery, table displays and other decorations, as well as putting the Hog on the spit to roast. Champagne was offered to guests as they arrived, and waiters were on hand to carry drinks to the tables. Canapes were also served, a selection of meat and vegetarian options that included the Spicy Thai Chicken Kebabs and the creamy Feta Skewers.
There were a great many hard working people to thank and present awards to, and so the three courses were staggered throughout the ceremony. For starters the salad nicoise with cherry tomatoes and a homemade vinaigrette or the Parma ham served with a walnut salad and apricot dressing. For mains, local free range spit roasted chicken served with stuffing and homemade onion gravy, or our classic Spit Roasted Pig with crispy crackling and apple sauce. Vegetarians had the option of our popular veggie and halloumi skewers. Desserts offered a choice between the chef’s special sticky toffee pudding, or the handmade chocolate Torte or the fresh fruit salad.
Gary was delighted with the work the team at Hog Roast Oxford had done, and thanked each member of staff for their contribution. We left him to enjoy his time with his hard working team as we discreetly cleared away all of our waste.
