The bank holiday proved to be dry amid all the speculation that it could snow! We were in our home town and catering for a large corporate event from a well known large company in the town. We were asked to impress and we did so, a large order was riding on this day and keeping the client happy partially fell onto our shoulders. We catered for approximately one hundred and fifty guests and made an exquisite menu, we cooked one pig and half a dozen chickens and one dozen shoulders of lamb more than enough to cater for this number of people, we made stuffing, apple sauce and gravy and a selection of dips too! We made a large batch of bread buns fresh on the day and placed the buns on the table for the gests to help their selves and make sandwiches. Hog roast hire also made some vegetable kebabs glazed in honey slow roasted on the spit the tables looked wonderful as we filled them with large silver plates full of hot pork, chicken and lamb and made plenty of salad too. Our staff are very professional and courteous and went out of their way to make sure that each guests needs were catered for and the day went really well. The host came to thank us and said that they had scooped a huge order and that the food helped swing the order we are not certain that was the case but it was nice to hear we were appreciated! The week headed off to a good start as we had a few more events, which again went really well a leaving party and the local Authority’s annual party, which we have been fortunate enough to cater for, for the past five years. We have a busy order book for April and this is the start of our busy period we are more than prepared to face the rush and look forward to the year ahead travelling the length and breth of the UK catering for all occasions with our wonderful hog roasting food…
