Maria and Freddie met when they both started working at the same restaurant whilst studying at university. Since then, the pair have both graduated and gone on to work in their dream sectors, whilst supporting each other along the journey. This June, the couple returned to their university city for a weekend trip, and Maria was overjoyed when Freddie proposed at the place they first met! Now that they have shared the news with friends and family, the couple want to host a party at their home in Oxford to celebrate the occasion. The event is set to include around 45 guests, with Hog Roast Didcot hired to cater for the party.
On the day of the party, the Hog Roast Didcot team arrived at their home in the morning and began preparing for the 3:00pm serving time. We started by slow-roasting the hog and allowing the succulent pork to cook for around five hours. Once ready, the meat was expertly carved and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Additionally, we served homemade chips, halloumi and vegetable skewers, gourmet coleslaw, and a green leaf salad, which helped to create a varied and delicious lunchtime buffet. The party was a lot of fun and it was great to see the happy couple celebrate their engagement with all of their favourite people!
