Hog Roast Radley saw Hannah and George get married last Friday at a luxurious country manor house. The driveway was a scene from a fairy-tale and the venue was the perfect location for a rustic-styled wedding.
For Hannah and George’s wedding breakfast, Hog Roast Radley served a handsome Hog Roast served with seasonal vegetables, roasted potatoes and gravy. The seasonable vegetable medley contained a variety of fresh vegetables such as garden peas, mangetout, baby corn, broccoli and chantenay carrots. These flavour-filled veg were purchased that morning from Hog Roast Radley’s local market. It doesn’t get any fresher than that! On request of the bride Hannah, a tray of cauliflower cheese was also served as part of the seasonable vegetables as that is her ultimate favourite part of a roast. The bride and groom opted for the Hog Roast rather than the spit-roast. They wanted a melt in the mouth experience of juicy and tender pulled pork that is cooked slowly on low heat rather than the moist carved meat from a spit-roasted pig. Hog Roast Radley provided a basket filled with a selection of freshly baked bread rolls from their local bakery and Hannah and George had asked for solely apple sauce as this was the traditional condiment. All the guests enjoyed the delicious meal and gave their compliments to the chef and the team.
Hog Roast Radley provided the evening reception food as well. Hannah and George had selected a cold buffet. This entailed a selection of homemade sandwiches such as the classic ham and cheese and also some more fancy fillings such as chicken tikka, prawn mayonnaise and smoked salmon. In addition, the buffet had a variety of bite size picnic classic nibbles for instance, scotch eggs, butcher pork pies, cheese straws and chicken satay sticks. Hog Roast Radley always includes an Indian selection board which everyone always raves about. Homemade coleslaw and a cheeseboard was also put out with various sauces, flavoured crisps and chutneys. There was something there for everyone… including platters for dietary needs such as gluten frees.
